About
From Meleka
to Malika.
British singer-songwriter, executive producer and entrepreneur from London. Of Jamaican, English and Guyanese descent, she began singing at the age of five in a musically active family — her father founded Time Radio, one of North West London's first pirate stations.
Her 2009 single "Go (Now It's Over Boy)" — particularly the Crazy Cousinz remix — became one of the defining records of UK funky, and returned in 2026 to hit No. 1 in the TikTok Viral charts as an independent record, 17 years after release.
Today, Malika occupies a rare space: an artist with a platinum catalogue and an entrepreneur shaping the business conversation around women in music — through her production company AnotHER Production Company and her consultancy Sounds Write.
